About Centralia Washington

Centralia's location between Portland and Seattle has contributed to its growth and development over the years. Throughout its history, the town's economy has thrived on various industries including lumbering, coal mining, dairying, poultry raising, and fruit farming. Centralia today is a story of two halves. One is all about the outlet stores along I-5. The other is old town strip filled with cafe's, antiques and book stores.
